While I'm Waiting...

It has been a long wait for our family to be built. What a challenge in patience.

In the meantime... Randy and I have explored into other families to find sweet moments for our hearts to savor with their lovely children.

One of the families we adore is my sister and brother inlaw's family. Tracy & Mike. We have had only a few visits in the perspective of how long they have had kids, but we treasure each one deeply.

Chloe is a model for my scrapbooking pages often.... but this time was extra special. I am so glad I was able to capture Randy and her having a tea party.

The story goes like this:

As she took me into her play space at Grandma's, Chloe and I noticed that she had a tea set there and i pointed it out to her, asking if it was indeed hers. She excitedly declared it was! Than I said, should we have a tea party Chloe.... ? My heart was filled with excitement at sharing this precious moment with her. She looked at me ,than behind me at her mom and at Grandma, and yelled out..."UNKA RAAANDY!!!! " well i must tell you that we all stood in horror at being picked over for Uncle Randy! he wasn't even in the room. She grabbed the tea set, and ran between us all and out of the room, down the hall and around the corner into the living room where the men were watching tv. She boldly ran to him and asked "TEA PARTY????UNKA RAAANDY?" well!

of course Randy was up and out of his seat with a smile from ear to ear in only a moment... especially as he saw our surprised faces rounding the corner to see what would come from this impulsive request.

I was quite disappointed to say the least. But resolved that at least i could take pictures! So i felt apart of the fun. She needed water and "cookies" which really turned out to be wheat thins... and she was off for a fabulous time. With every pour there was a bigger puddle to be mopped up later, and she asked him to say "cheers" with every sip. There was also much discussion and amusement around the skills she wished to acquire on how UNKA RAAANDY could make that whistling sound come out of the little tea pot... she tried and tried.. to no avail. but it was more than amusing to watch.

so.... here are my resulting pictures that capture this grand event in our time with Chloe.
Enjoy!
