Ladies Retreat 2006
This has got to have been the best Ladies Retreat I have ever been on. There was such an age variety of women there, and they all really connected with eachother... Many new relationships were born on this weekend away. I am so glad we had a time to share and to know eachother and to be known.... What a gift these relationships will be to our Church Body.
The weekend was themed "For Such A Time As This!" and Tracy taught from the book of Esther. There was no way we could avoid the message that God has a purpose for our lives, and we are responsible to choose to listen and obey, to seek His face and turn from our own paths, to follow His.
There was a current that flowed with sweet Worship of the Lord, washing over each of our hearts, knowing that there is more to this life than the mundane. I have been so encouraged with that truth lately. It has become apparent that the Will of the Father is to work through us, and to be our Highest and most true purpose. I have loved recognising that, and beginning to choose to follow in that way. To allow His Spirit to be my lead, and to be constantly hungering for what He wants from my life.
This time of getting away from our daily routine, caused me to recognise how busy and hectic life feels, and how desperately I adore being with other women. There is not a more lovely place on this earth than to be in friendship with women who love the Lord and will pour out their love over those around them.
I ramble on... but essentially, we worshiped, we learned from eachother, we were challenged, and cared for eachother's hearts.... We were able to know what God wants from us as a Church, and as a Body of women in this church, in an even greater way because of this retreat. I thank God for each of you who came... and for the gifts that you gave of yourselves... It is a blessing to know you and to be known by you.

I know... me too... it is so good to know the heart of another. I love that we have that opportunity every day... and even more to share in the Love for the Lord is a blessed gift.
