Refreshing In A Storm

In my life there have been many storms. 

 many many seasons of rain.  

But very rarely have i tipped my head back 

and drank in the refreshing that comes from the water.  

Very rarely have I allowed my faith to come to the surface

 to help me trust that this will soon pass 

and my days in the sun will return... 

SO THAT I could savor... 

the refreshment 

and the cleansing 

that can come from this soaking, drenching... rain.

I want.... to be that FAITH- FILLED!  

To trust God's heart enough to allow these moments of challenge to come 

without panic of them remaining forever.  

When the storms of life come.  

I want to stand.... 

 not only willing to be wet... 

and firmly planted in the wind... 

but to close my eyes... 

tip back my head... 

and open my heart and self up 

for what God has for me in this storm.  

with love and hope for more of Him...
