Generous Blessings Poured Out!
As I mentioned in the previous post, our prayer group met for our Christmas gathering, and I asked if the ladies would mind bringing some toiletries for this local women's shelter that we know of. What I am so blessed to tell you is that there was so much love and generosity poured out in that giving opportunity, and I am so honored to have been able to put the immense amount of things together for the shelter. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for being generous in heart, and for caring for those around you. God is so honored by your love.

Well if you haven't yet seen it, I would recommend that you do. We saw it last night and were really impressed with it. I hope you will have a chance to take it in over the holidays, it will really help bring the Christmas season to life, and into focus.

Prayer Group (PLOW) Christmas Gathering... What fun!

So many wonderful ladies have come to our prayer group on Wednesdays. It all began in April, and has been such a success!

This past Wednesday, we celebrated together with a Christmas gathering at a hosting home. It was such a nice change and so many of the ladies were able to make it, causing the group to seem so huge! We had a great time togther, lots of laughter, and hugs were shared, and many times of sharing and prayer. Thanks to these women, the journey of life, is alot more adventurous and fun!

You are all treasures, and I am so grateful to be among you!

I wish you a merry Christmas...

Can you believe it is only a few short days until Christmas? I am absolutely in awe. There is no part of my life that has flown as fast as these past few years. I can't seem to figure out where the time goes!

This Christmas will be a fun time together with family. We are looking forward to seeing how much our neice Chloe has grown, and enjoy that we are having Christmas with the first of the Grandchildren in the family... It will be so fun to catch up with everyone. We look forward to lots of laughter and warm hugs!

To be sure there is nothing more amazing than what will happen at the Burtis side of the family...Randy and I are so happy to celebrate his cousin's Mitch's first Christmas as well, as he accepted Christ as his Savior this year. What an amazing gift this is to our lives. When so many have prayed for him for so many many years. Praise the Lord.

So with that I wish you the warmest and most love filled Christmas this year. It is my prayer that you will be able to celebrate the real reason for the season, and that Christ will be the center of your year to come.

Journey in Friendship

I think women friends are the best gift we could ask for. I have personally been blessed with so many wonderful women in my life. Some who pour into me and nourish my soul.... some who have gone through the fire, and have needed from me, and in return, i felt safe to turn to when I have been that vulnerable.

All have taught me many, many things. I am so honored to have been gifted with wonderful people around me. I don't know what I would do without great friends.

This past year we have moved to a new city in a different province, began serving at a new church, and have been embraced by new friends. There has been a gift in that which I cannot describe clearly, but I know was from the Lord. The people who have welcomed us into their lives, have brought a feeling of HOME... it is beautiful and full, and warm. We love being here, and we have never expected home to feel like this.

Thank you to all who have poured into us, and been our new family, and new home here.
This has been an amazing year, and you have been amazing friends.

LET IT SNOW!!!!

It is winter here...as of today! Ii am amazed at the thick wet flakes that fall fast to the ground. How beautful and bright it was when we awoke to the sight... and what a gorgeous clean world it appears right now. What is unfortunate is the work that the heavy snow produces. Well... for Randy today.

I was fortunate to be deligated the traditional role of making breakfast, while my dear man decided that he would take his traditional role today as well, and make a path to the shed, which held the shovel, and then shovel off our deck and driveway.

I definately got the better end of the stick with that one.

As Randy said, "we wouldn't be so bitter about the arrival of winter if it would just break us in easier.. but it never does that... it's hard and fast, and break your back heavy.... the first fall of snow... and "ha ha to you!" attitude, break the spirit of those who blindly responded to the beauty of the seasons change with a smile. All Enjoyment is lost once the reality sets in!

hmmmm. i think I can still love winter... but I think the princess factor exists here as well...

This year i believe it might be wise to buy a second shovel...
2x the speed,
1/2 the back break...
and an activity we can do together.

next snow...
