Celebrating 30 days old!

Whoa! hotties in the house!

This has been the coolest week ever! Tracy & I (blessed by our hubbies) ditched life in the normal time and space...
to jump to the not so nearby city of Calgary to see our Jennifer...
for a day!

She is a treat we need regular fixes of... and she was finally feeling good enough to have guests... so we Jumped! OH YAH WE DID!

I am so excited that we went to see her.
it is awesome to have had a full day of
girl talk, nail painting... giggles, all out hootin' & hollerin' even a bit of a
snort once in a while. (I guess that was just me... )
This was truly a glorious day!

We wore her out! hee hee! and ourselves too.
I love you my dear friends! You are treasured so richly in my heart.

Happy 30th DAY BIRTHDAY... My Sweet Friend

While I'm Waiting...

It has been a long wait for our family to be built. What a challenge in patience.

In the meantime... Randy and I have explored into other families to find sweet moments for our hearts to savor with their lovely children.

One of the families we adore is my sister and brother inlaw's family. Tracy & Mike. We have had only a few visits in the perspective of how long they have had kids, but we treasure each one deeply.

Chloe is a model for my scrapbooking pages often.... but this time was extra special. I am so glad I was able to capture Randy and her having a tea party.

The story goes like this:

As she took me into her play space at Grandma's, Chloe and I noticed that she had a tea set there and i pointed it out to her, asking if it was indeed hers. She excitedly declared it was! Than I said, should we have a tea party Chloe.... ? My heart was filled with excitement at sharing this precious moment with her. She looked at me ,than behind me at her mom and at Grandma, and yelled out..."UNKA RAAANDY!!!! " well i must tell you that we all stood in horror at being picked over for Uncle Randy! he wasn't even in the room. She grabbed the tea set, and ran between us all and out of the room, down the hall and around the corner into the living room where the men were watching tv. She boldly ran to him and asked "TEA PARTY????UNKA RAAANDY?" well!

of course Randy was up and out of his seat with a smile from ear to ear in only a moment... especially as he saw our surprised faces rounding the corner to see what would come from this impulsive request.

I was quite disappointed to say the least. But resolved that at least i could take pictures! So i felt apart of the fun. She needed water and "cookies" which really turned out to be wheat thins... and she was off for a fabulous time. With every pour there was a bigger puddle to be mopped up later, and she asked him to say "cheers" with every sip. There was also much discussion and amusement around the skills she wished to acquire on how UNKA RAAANDY could make that whistling sound come out of the little tea pot... she tried and tried.. to no avail. but it was more than amusing to watch.

so.... here are my resulting pictures that capture this grand event in our time with Chloe.
Enjoy!

Friendship with a courageous woman

I have so loved so many wonderful friends... and yet this is one of only a few pages i have ever put together. It is somehow a difficult thing for me. I guess i really don't know how to speak to the special ways that each person has impacted me, or what i love most about them... probably because it is always changing.

So today i begin... i have decided to place this page of my friendship with Jennifer into an album of Journeying Together. I think i might do some sort of connection with the strong characteristic I find in them.... but we'll see... it is still in the making... and could be altered at any given moment.

I have included the journalling for you to read because it is precious to me, and is the reason I made this page. I wish you could know my sweet and courageous friend Jennifer.

Journalling as follows:

My Jennifer. I adore you. And I know you love me right back.

In my life I have had many wonderful friends. The gift I have in your friendship is Inspiration and Graciousness. Although you are gracious in the way you deal with the circumstances in life, you have a spunk and fire in you that is courageous and fierce. You will not be bowled over or strong-armed by circumstances. You will approach these issues and others with conviction and confidence in what you know is right and true.

I love your silly moments with me, and your gentle heart, and I SO desire to grow in my graciousness in difficult times that I have chosen to watch your life as a model of that gift. No pressure!!!

Jennifer your beautiful to me… so it is not a surprise that you have not changed in your beauty through all that has come with this Leukemia. Your hair may be gone, but it will grow back! You may now be weak, but you will grow strong again!

I love that your so at ease with the really important things of life remaining at the top of your life list. This experience has not only brought you perspective in that way, but also helped everyone else reconsider the priorities for the lives we are living. You have inspired us to live our lives on purpose and to give it our all... so we can be who we are made to be.

I see Jesus radiating from you. He is your source, and although the ground feels shaky… it’s not. He is your rock. Our rock. I love that you know that. That this stretch of the journey is not about you finding Him, but about you trusting and resting in the One you know so well; that your eyes are fixed and your heart is set that in Him. In Him you will be restored and that by being confident of this, you have testified and witnessed to the goodness we know of God. I am so blessed by your strength and your vulnerability in this journey.

You truly are inspiring and are teaching all of us with your life. I can’t wait until this is over and you are home snuggling Noah and Curtis. I can’t wait to hang out again like we used to, to share in the joys and struggles that we stand together in. I love to laugh with you and share in the real heart stuff of girlfriends. But I am learning and growing in my walk, because of your witness and faith in Christ… our hope of glory..

I look forward to a lifetime of friendship with you my friend.

CELEBRATIONS ROCK!

when life is hard and things don't seem too clear,
it may be time to find a reason to celebrate.

I am so blessed to have been given permission
to celebrate my dear husband on his birthday this year.
It is quite out of his comfort zone to be the center of attention,
never mind the reason for a party.

what I did was blast that little bit of permission right into orbit.
I probably won't ever be given that chance again, and although
that is a sad reality, it was a fabulous party and
coming together for the purpose of blessing my man.

I love it!

Although it has been a week since the party,
i want to let you know that I celebrate you everyday honey.
You are my precious gift... and i am just so blessed.

I love you. and Happy Birthday!
